If Pilgrim's Progress happened in space, this is what it might look like...
On a planet that has never seen the sun, a harvester hears a Voice from beyond. It's time to leave the oatfield. Mario and Caitlin escape the mind control of Planet Monday, following the Voice to unknown worlds where wonders and challenges await. Have you got what it takes...to be a legend?
A brilliant allegory, this powerfully imaginative space epic features emotive characters and carefully described new worlds. LEGENDARY SPACE PILGRIMS engaged all aspects of myself: body, mind, and spirit. I couldn’t put it down!
A thrilling sci-fi adventure with profound undertones, a breathtaking quest for personal freedom and cosmic destiny in the face of injustice and oppression. A deftly written and easy to read good time.
It’s about something bigger than ourselves. The pilgrimage reflects
A meticulously detailed dystopia that is provocative and stunning! From a slave planet to a daring escape in a space ship to a mission that can misfire by a hair’s breadth...Readers will be captivated by hope and a mysterious Voice opposing institutionalized evil, and brought along to view Christian values in a new light. Inspiring.
LEGENDARY SPACE PILGRIMS is a true science fiction treat, and entirely appropriate for teenage readers as well as adults. Strap in and take off on the ride of your life!
Ensnared. It was my immediate reaction to a book, and as a teenager who traditionally doesn’t read Sci-Fi, that was a big thing. The tale of Mario and Caitlin is brilliant, growing a sophisticated universe that's pitched at the perfect level for the tone of the book. Insights into the characters’ personalities and inner feelings are rife, and by the end of a chapter, your heart is racing along with the heroes of the book—no matter what they get up to, this book will leave you longing for more! I can only hope for a sequel...
From John Bunyan, to C.S. Lewis, to Grace Bridges; LEGENDARY SPACE PILGRIMS will change the way we view allegorical fiction. Grace Bridges builds not only a world, but a stunning star system. Then within its confines she places a masterful story of heart. I won’t soon forget the story of Mario and Caitlin. Crazy villains, heartwarming heroes and the taste of dirt in my mouth; Now I’m left waiting for the sequel! Kudos Grace Kudos!
I was hooked. Mario and Caitlin shone in contrast to the stark, but believable world they toil in. I just had to find out what happened next. Their flight through space reminded me of Out of the Silent Planet by C. S. Lewis, but readers will find Grace’s delightful contemporary style more approachable.
